Clinical Observation on Self-made Tongqiao Zhiqiu Decoction Combined with Acupuncture in the Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis during Onset

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and changes of Th9 and IL-9 during the onset of allergic rhinitis by self-made Tongqiao Zhiqiu Decoction combined with acupuncture.Methods:80 patients with allergic rhinitis admitted to Beijing Tongren Hospital,Capital Medical University from July 2018 to March 2020 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the combined group(n=40)and control group(n=40).Both groups were treated with conventional western medicine;the control group was given acupuncture treatment,and the combined group was given self-made Tongqiao Zhiqiu Decoction based on the treatment of the control group.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The efficacy of TCM syndromes,the scores of main symptoms,the ratio of Th9 cells and the level of IL-9 were compared between the two groups,and the adverse reactions during the treatment of the two groups were recorded.Results:The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the combined group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of nasal congestions,nasal itching,sneezing,and runny nose on 7 and 14 d after treatment in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The ratio of Th9 cells and IL-9 levels in the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the combined group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the ratio of Th9 cells and IL-9 levels of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment,and the combined group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).There were no severe adverse reactions between two groups.Conclusion:Self-made Tongqiao Zhiqiu Decoction combined with acupuncture has a good curative effect on the treatment of allergic rhinitis during onset,which can obviously improve the main clinical symptoms of patients and reduce the proportion of Th9 cells and IL-9 levels.
