Comparison of CEUS-guided and CT-guided puncture for space-occupying lesion on liver

Objective:To analyze and compare the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS)-guided puncture and computed tomography(CT)-guided puncture for space-occupying lesion on liver.Methods:89 patients with space-occupying lesions on liver were selected and were divided into CEUS group(48 cases)and CT group(41 cases)according to different guidance methods for puncture.CEUS group received aspiration biopsy with CEUS guidance,and CT group received that with CT guidance,and the diagnosis results of two groups were further compared.Results:Kappa value between aspiration biopsy results of each group and postoperatively pathological results was 0.735 and 0.626,respectively.The diagnostic accuracies of aspiration biopsy of CEUS group and CT group were 93.75%and 92.68%,respectively,and the difference of that between them was not statistically significant.The diagnostic accuracies of aspiration biopsy with CEUS guidance were respectively 84.21%and 100.00%when the lesion size was less than 2 cm and larger than or equal to 2cm,and the diagnostic accuracies were respectively 100.00%and 89.29%when the distance between the lesion and the surface of liver was less than 5 cm and was larger than or equal to 5 cm,and the differences of diagnostic accuracies were not statistically significant.Conclusion:CEUS-guided puncture for space-occupying lesion on liver has a better diagnostic value and is worthy in clinical use.
