| Abstract: | One hundred and thirteen sera of HB cases and HBsAg carriers were detectedfor anti-HDV with ELISA.Of them 11 were positive,the positive rate was 9.73%(11/113).It indicated that there was HDV infection and it was associated with thetypes of HB.The positive rates were:2.13%(1/47)in acute HB;17.39%(4/23)inchronic active HB;33.33%(4/12)in chronic persistent HB;12.5%(2/16)in livercirrhosis.No HDV infection in HBsAg carriers was found.The positive rate of anti-HDV in chronic HB was higher than in acute HB,it was suggested that HDV infec-tion might be an importont factor of the chronicity of acute HB,and it was also theimportant reason for the intractability of HB.The use of HB vaccination for theHBV susceptibles and avoidance to contact with HB patients and HBsAg carrierswere recommended. |
