Comparison of the effects of MIPPO technique assisted by arthroscopy and open internal fixation in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures

Objective To investigate the effect of MIPPO technique assisted by arthroscopy and open internal fixation in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures. Methods 80 patients with tibial plateau fractures admitted to our hospital from October 2017 to January 2020 were selected and they were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with open internal fixation, and the observation group was treated with arthroscopy-assisted MIPPO technique. The clinical efficacy, recovery time of limb function, incidence of postoperative complications and postoperative infection were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of surgical treatment in the observation group was 95.00%, which was higher than 80.00% in the control group(P<0.05);the joint swelling disappearance time, knee pain relief time and voluntary activity recovery time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups;the procalcitonin, neutrophils, interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of patients with tibial plateau fractures, the MIPPO technique assisted by arthroscopy is more effective than open internal fixation, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
