Development of the Undergraduate Psychological Harmony Questionnaire

Objectives To development the Undergraduate Psychological Harmony Questionnaire and to examine its reliability and validity.Methods A total of 1056 undergraduate were selected and asked to complete the Undergraduate Psychological Harmony Questionnaire.The reliability,construct validity and empirical validity were evaluated by inter-item consistency analysis.Results The Undergraduate Psychological Harmony Questionnaire contained three dimensions.They were self harmony,interpersonal harmony,and harmony between persons and matters.The Cronbach α coefficients of three factors and the total scale were 0.79,0.77,0.74 and 0.76 respectively.The retest reliability were 0.89,0.88,0.85 and 0.88 respectively.The factor loadings ranged from 0.58 to 0.89.The correlation coefficients of the three factors ranged from 0.46 to 0.56.The indexes of confirmatory factor analysis were as follows： GFI=0.98,TLI=0.98,CFI=0.99,χ^2/df=3.58,and RMSEA=0.07.The correlation coefficients of psychological harmony with depression was-0.55（P〈0.01）.Conclusion The Undergraduate Psychological Harmony Questionnaire is a reliable and valid measure for assessing undergraduate psychological harmony.
