| Abstract: | The periodontal disease can not only destroy the attachment apparatus of the tooth,but also affect many systemic disorders.In the last few years,the relation on between periodontal disease and pulmonary infection has been studied more and more.This literature reviewed the affection of periodontal disease to pneumonia (especially the nosocomial pneumonia of elderly patients living in long-term care facilities) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). |
