Construction and application of bilingual database for modernized traditional Chinese medicine terminology

The terminology of traditional Chinese medicine is constantly expanding with the development of traditional Chinese medicine discipline.Modernized Chinese medicine terms refer to the terminology produced in the process of modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.They follow the traditional Chinese medicine concepts,but have the characteristics of a new era.The establishment of a specialized bilingual database of its terms helps to promote the standardization of the English translation of traditional Chinese medicine terms.By extracting terms from related works,papers and medical products,this paper establishes a“bilingual database of modern Chinese medicine terminology”to conduct applied research.It is of great significance to explore the standardization of the English translation strategy of modernized traditional Chinese medicine terms,as well as the academic development and foreign exchange of contemporary traditional Chinese medicine.
