Application of nanotechnology in traditional Chinese medicine

With the rapid development of science and technology, nanotechnology has been brought into our life step by step. The field of traditional Chinese medicine are being guided, developed and polished by nanotechnology with its flourishing. The specific characteristics of Nano traditional Chinese medicine in aspects as size, shape, and materials can effectively reduce the drug toxicity and improve the efficacy. Nanotechnology can also be applied to the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine to enhance the sensitivity of medical tests and shorten the test time. This paper systematically elaborated the application progress of nanotechnology in traditional Chinese medicine, analyzed the problems encountered by nanotechnology in improving the application of traditional Chinese medicine, discussed the solutions to the problems, and envisions the research directions in the future.
