| Abstract: | Objective To reduce adverse events of elderly patients during hospitalization and ensure patients＇satety. Methods The measures included increasing awareness of risk management of nurses, assessing safety risks of patients, strengthening health education, improving security protection at key links, strengthening security management in the key periods, and intensifying nursing observation of important clinical indicators. Results The satisfactory degree of patients and nurses were improved, and the quality of nursing was increased. The differences were statistically significant （ P 〈 0.01 or P 〈 0.05 ） . There were no accidents, patient complaints and disputes occurring after the implementation of safety management one year. Conclusion Implementation of nursing safety management can increase the patients‘ and nurses＇satisfaction, and play a positive role in promoting the quality of nursing. |
