| Abstract: | The effect of meglumine cyclicadenyate(MCA)on the thrombin induced cytosolicfree Ca2+transients in human platelets, comparedwith exogenous cAMP, was observed by Quin 2 meth-od. The thrombin-induced Ca2+]i rise can be inhibitedby MCA in a dose-dependent manner(5-50 umol·L-1)but strengthened by exogenous cAMP Theresults suggest that MCA can prevent the activation ofplatelet by way of modulation of the second messengersystem, such as Ca2+ and cAMP level,therefore it is abeneficial action of MCA to the cardiovascular svstem |
