半乳糖凝集素-3在人脑星形细胞瘤中的表达及其与预后的关系

摘    要:目的探讨半乳糖凝集素-3﹙Gal-3﹚在星形细胞瘤不同病理分级中的生物学意义及其与预后的关系。方法应用免疫组化SP法检测46例首次手术切除的星形细胞瘤标本和8例正常脑组织标本中Gal-3的表达,并将它的表达与患者各临床指标之间进行统计学分析。结果正常脑组织中无明显Gal-3的表达,随着星形细胞瘤病理分级的提高,Gal-3的阳性表达逐渐升高(P〈0.05),且其表达与肿瘤直径有关(P〈0.05),其阳性表达的患者2年生存率低比阴性表达者低(P〈0.01)。结论Gal-3在星形细胞瘤中的表达上调可能对肿瘤发生、发展和恶性转化具有重要的作用,对于肿瘤恶性程度分级、预后评估有一定的价值。

Abstract:Objective To explore the expression of galectin-3 in the different pathological grades astrocytomas and its relationship with the prognosis. Methods The expressions of galectin-3 in 46 cases of human astrocytomas and 8 cases of normal brain tissues were determined by immmunohistochemical SP method. The relationship between the expression of galectin-3 in the human astrocytomas and the prognosis was analyzed. Results There is no expression of galectin-3 in 8 normal brain tissues, where the rate of positive expression of galectin-3 was significantly lower than that in the astrocytomas (P<0.01). The positive expression rate of galectin-3 was different statistically in different pathological grade. There was significant difference in the positive expression rate of galectin-3 among the astrocytomas of different grades (P<0.05). The expression rate of galectin-3 was positively related to the diameter of the tumors (P<0.05). The 2 years or more survival rate in patients with positive expression of galectin-3 was significantly lower than that of patients with negative expression (P<0.01). Conclusions The over expression of galectin-3 may be involved in pathogensis and development of astrocytomas. The detection of the level of galectin-3 is helpful to the prognostic assessment in the patients with astrocytomas.
