| Abstract: | The growth characteristics of two Candida strains W1, W2, have been examined on the single substrates d-glucose, d-galactose, d-xylose, d-arabinose in batch culture. The importance of growth parameters μmax, KS and Y with regard to possible functions of single strains in mixed populations during degradation of mixed substrates has been discussed. |
