Prolonged bleeding following tongue piercing: a case report and review of complications

The number of adolescents and young adults undergoing intraoral piercing is increasing in the United States. Numerous articles have documented complications following intraoral piercing. This article presents a case of prolonged bleeding and reviews other documented sequelae following intraoral piercing.
