葛根汤合桂枝茯苓丸治疗多囊卵巢综合征型痤疮经验

Experience of Acne Caused by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS) Treated with Gegen Decoction and Guizhi Fuling Pill

Some researches have suggested that acne caused by polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) could be regarded as a special subtype of acne. Western medicine holds that its cause is hyperandrogenism,while traditional Chinese medicine holds that its mechanism is the combination of tai yang and yang ming disease,and qi deficiency and blood stasis,resulting into the clear yang failing to ascend while the turbid yin failing to descend. Gegen decoction and Guizhi Fuling pill are from Zhang Zhongjing's Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases. Traditionally it is held that Gegen decoction is used to treat common cold and Guizhi Fuling pill is used to invigorate blood and resolve stasis. Gegen decoction mainly treats the combination of tai yang and yang ming diseases,and when combined with Guizhi Fuling pill,it could promote the yin generation from yang,and lift yang and lower yin. Therefore,this combination could treat acne caused by PCOS with satisfactory effect.
