MR imaging of the head and neck

The purpose of this paper is to describe current imaging protocols for MR imaging of the head and neck region and to define results and clinical impact. Depending on the clinical question, different MRI protocols are presented for imaging of the head and neck. The appearance of different pathologic findings on imaging studies and how adapted imaging protocols help to improve differential diagnosis is discussed. In summary, MRI is the method of choice for imaging of the head and neck.
