脑星形细胞瘤MMP-9表达与MRI瘤周水肿的相关性研究

目的探讨脑星形细胞瘤MMP-9表达与瘤周水肿及病理级别的相关性。方法对48例手术及病理证实的星形细胞瘤石蜡标本进行MMP-9免疫组化染色,并分析其表达程度与瘤周水肿、肿瘤级别的关系。结果星形细胞瘤MMP-9表达与瘤周水肿、病理级别明显相关(P<0.001)。随着MMP-9表达增高,瘤周水肿范围增大,MMP-9表达与瘤周水肿呈明显正相关(rs=0.757,P<0.001)。结论脑星形细胞瘤MMP-9表达与瘤周水肿、病理级别密切相关。术前分析瘤周水肿与MMP-9表达的关系,可为临床制定手术方案、评估预后提供参考依据。

Correlation of MMP-9 expression levels with peritumorous edema on MRI in astrocytomas

Objective To discuss the correlation of MMP-9 expression levels to the MRI signs of peritumorous edema and to the pathologic grading in cerebral astrocytomas.Methods 48 patients were examined with surgically-and pathologically-proved astrocytoma.MMP-9 was obtained by immuno-histochemical technique.MMP-9 expression levels were compared with peritumorous edema and pathologic grading of astrocytomas.Results Significant correlation existed between the MMP-9 expression levels,the extent of peritumorous edema and the pathologic grade(P <0.001).The higher the MMP-9 expression levels were,the larger the peritumorous edema extent would be.Positive correlation existed between the MMP-9 expression levels and the extent of peritumorous edema(rs =-0.757,P <0.001).Conclusion The MMP-9 expression levels in astrocytomas has a close correlation with the peritumorous edema and pathologic grade.A careful preoperative analysis of peritumorous edema and MMP-9 expression levels will help to guide clinical management and to evaluate the prognosis.
