利培酮与氯氮平治疗精神分裂症对照研究

Controlled study of risperidone and clozapine in the treatment of schizophrenia

Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic and side effects of risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia. Methods: 59 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into three groups, risperidone group 1 (4 mg per day, 19 cases) , risperidone group 2 (6 mg per day, 20 cases) and clozapine group (20 cases) treated for 8 weeks. Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS) was used for evaluating the therapeutic effect, while Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) and Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale (ESRS) for side effects. Results: No significant diference of efficacy between risperidone group 1. 2 and clozapine group, but significant differences existed between the patients taking risperidone and clozapine in total PANSS scores, cognition factor, negative symptom factor. The main side effects of risperidone were extrapyramidal side effect, insomnia and dizziness. Conclusions: Risperidone is an effective and safe antipsychotic agent, it shows better effect in improving cognitive function and decreasing negative symptoms compared with clozapine, though extrapyramidal side effect may occur in some cases.
