Comparative analysis of hotspots in studies in foreign and domestic libraries

Objective To analyze the hotspots in studies in foreign and domestic libraries and their development direction. Methods The hotspots and frontiers in 3 382 domestic papers and 1 095 foreign papers retrieved from Web of Science core set and Wanfang Database were comparatively analyzed by CiteSpace and NOSviewer respectively. Results Information service, information literacy, evidence-based medicine and doctors were focused by foreign libraries while subject service, mobile service, customer space, WeChat public account and smart library were focused by domestic libraries. Conclusion Domestic medical libraries should strengthen their public welfare service, innovate their service pattern, expand their resource development, improve their application of new technologies, promote their close cooperation, and attach importance to the construction of their professionals.
