| Abstract: | Continuous glucose monitoring system is a new tool to detect blood glucose. It can generate a large number of measures of glycemic variability, including standard deviation, area under the curve,mean amplitude of glucose excursion, mean blood glucose, mean of daily differences, the average daily risk range,and continuous over lapping net glycemic action over an n-hour period (CONGAn), etc. Each measures has advantages and limitations. Here reviews a systematic approach to the interpretation of continuous glucose monitoring data for use by clinical researchers and clinicians. |
