| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the effect of group psychotherapy on the defense style and clinical effect of schizophrenia patients in rehabilitation. Methods Group psychotherapy and general therapy were used to 59 cases of schizophrenia in rehabilitation. The patients were assessed with questionnaire of defense style, Positive and Negative Symptom Scale from 0-6 week, and SCL-90. were analyzed with t-test. Results The reduction rate of the SCL-90 score was significant （t =2.36, P〈0.05）; the reduction rates of depression, anxiety, hostility factor scores were significant （t = 2.32, 2.68, 2.16, P〈0.05） ; the reduction of the immature factor scores of DSQ was significant （t =2.54, P〈0.05）; the reduction rate of fantasy and splitting factors was statistically significant （t = 2.53, 2.75, P 〈 0. 05）. Conclusion The defense style of schizophrenia patients in rehabilitation is composed mainly by immature factors. Group psychotherapy is effective to improve the defense style and psychological symptoms of schizophrenia patients. |
