| Abstract: | The preliminary clinical trials of the shaped buffalo horns transplanted into patients with bone defect have been successfully developed by Dr. Guo. In order to investigate the immunologic response, the levels of the specific serum IgG to extracts of buffalo horn and the extract-stimulating lymphocyte transformation in goats experimentally transplanted with the horn were determined by ELISA and antigen specific lymphocyte transformation assay .respectively. In 7 - 49 days after transplatation, the level of specific serum IgG is 3 -7 times higher than that of normal or control group. The rates of specific T lymphocytes is at range of 13 - 21%. These results show that the immune response of the goat to buffalo horn is relatively low. |
