| Abstract: | Ninety-five cases of clinically diagnosed pericarditis in children were confirmed by ultrasound cardiography(UCG) and were followed-up to evaluste the prognosis. The results show that UCG is not only the most sensitive method for detecting pericardial fluid, but also able to identify the character of effussion and the thickness of pericardium. So UCG can provide valuable data of prognosis, possible etiology and indication for operation. We have significantly decreased the complication of pericadial constriction with early diagnosis and aggressive teratment |
