| Abstract: | The main biological function of glucagons-like peptide-1 ( GLP-1 ) includes stimulating the secretion and synthesis of insulin,inhibiting the secretion of hyperglycosemia, increasing the number of islet β-cell while inhibiting its apoptosis and so on. Studies show that GLP-1 has a unique myocardial protection,for example, fighting myocardial cell apoptosis, reducing small vascular lesions, improving, disorders of cardiac energy metabdism disorders and so on. Therefore,investigation of GLP-1 and its protection for myocardial can provide a new strategy for treatment of type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy. |
