Abstract: | Summary Earlier genetic analyses have identified a mitochondrial +1 frameshift suppressor (MF1) in the 15S rRNA region of a leaky mitochondrial frameshift mutant and the respective wild-type strain 777-3A (Weiss-Brummer et al. 1987). Further genetic analyses revealed that for the observed spontaneous frameshift suppression in M5631 the mitochondrial factor (MF1) must act together with at least two dominant nuclear-encoded factors. |
