Research progress on correlation between insulin resistance and hypertension

Hypertension is a clinical syndrome characterized by elevated systemic arterial blood pressure and accompanied by multiple organ damage.Relevant research shows that due to many factors,the incidence rate of hypertension has also been on the rise in recent years,which has a serious impact on the health of the people.In terms of pathogenic factors,researchers point out that insulin resistance is relatively closely related to hypertension.Clinical studies have confirmed that most patients with hypertension have insulin resistance at the same time.Insulin resistance refers to a variety of reasons for insulin to promote glucose uptake and utilization efficiency decline,the body secretes too much insulin to produce hyperinsulinemia,so as to maintain the stability of blood glucose.Therefore,exploring and studying the correlation between insulin resistance and hypertension plays a positive role in improving the treatment effect of patients.This paper takes the relationship between insulin resistance and hypertension as an entry point,from the sympathetic nerve activity,Na+ reabsorption,vasoactive substances,vascular smooth muscle thickening and lipid metabolism and other aspects of the correlation between the two are reviewed,in order to provide valuable reference for the follow-up clinical research and treatment of hypertension.
