Clinical effects of Angong Niuhuang Pills combined with conventional treatment on patients with acute cerebral infarction in recovery period

AIM To explore the clinical effects of Angong Niuhuang Pills combined with conventional treatment on patients with acute cerebral infarction in recovery period.METHODS One hundred patients were randomly assigned into control group(50 cases)for 14?day intervention of conventional treatment(aspirin,atorvastatin,therapeutic exercise training),and observation group(50 cases)for 14?day intervention of both Angong Niuhuang Pills and conventional treatment.The changes in clinical efficacy,Fugl?Meyer score,NIHSS score,blood flow volume indices(Vm,PI),vascular endothelial cytokines(NO,ET?1,AngⅡ)and incidence of adverse reactions were detected.RESULTS The observation group demonstrated higher total effective rate than the control group(P<0.05).After the treatment,the two groups displayed increased Fugl?Meyer score,Vm and NO(P<0.05),and decreased NIHSS score,PI,ET?1 and AngⅡ(P<0.05),especially for the observation group(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were found in the two groups.CONCLUSION For the patients with acute cerebral infarction in recovery period,Angong Niuhuang Pills combined with conventional treatment can improve limb functions and cerebral blood flow perfusion,whose mechanism may contribute to the improvement of vascular endothelial functions.
