The value of ednoscopic drainage for mailgnant obstructive jaundice

Objective To investigate the value of ednoscopic drainage in the treatment of mailgnant obstructive jaundice.Methods The clinical data of 67 mailgnant obstructive jaundice patients treated with endoscopic drainage in Guizhou provincial hospital were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsThe accomplished rates of the operation were 95.5%.The level of total bilitrubin significantly reduced from 293.2±99.4μmol/L to 93.3±48.4μmol/L within 7 days posttherapeuticaly.Direct bilitrubin reduced from 157.5±56.2μmol/L to 47.2±23.4μmol/L.The differences were significantly（P0.05）.The clinical symptoms and quality of life of the patients were improved,and the lifespan prolonged.The longest survival time has been up to 29 months.The median surival tirne was 11.7 months.8 cases with metal covered stent in the original stent got success.The primary symptoms disappeared and no recurrence within the follow 3 months.One of them suffered cholangitis after operation.No severe operation-related complications were present.Conclusion It is safe,minimally invasive,and effective for endoscopic-guided metal stent placement used in late-stage and old mailgnant obstructive jaundice patients.It can prolong the patients lifespan and improve their life quality.When obstruct appeared in the stent,it is better to place the metal covered stent in the original stent.
