Abstract:
In recent years, the air pollution of PM2.5 in China was serious. Skin, as an important barrier against environmental pollutants, is easily damaged by PM2.5. Keratinocytes are the main constituent cells of the skin epidermis, which play a key role in the natural immune response of skin. PM2.5 can induce a variety of biological effects on keratinocytes. The effects of PM2.5 on skin keratinocyte proliferation activity, apoptosis, autophagy, aryl hydrocarbon receptor activation, oxidative stress, inflammatory response, and the expression of skin barrier related component are reviewed in this paper. It provides a reference for further study on the damage mechanism of PM2.5 to skin.
