Abstract: | Objective To investigate the sleep change of aviation personnel on flight eve and analyze the associated risk fac-tors. Methods A cluster sampling survey was performed in 1380 aviation personnel of army, navy and air force. 1285 questionnaire were available for evaluation. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were carried out to explore the correlation between sleep change on flight eve and its relevant factors. Results Compared with usual nights,on flight eve sleep was changed in different forms and degree. In general, changes were seen in one,two and three or more aspects in 19.3%,15.8% and 27.3% aviation personnel, respectively. The most common changes included decreased nocturnal sleep duration(30.3%),advanced awakening time in the morning(26.9%) and increased sleep latency(23.1%). The risk factors of sleep changes on flight eve included poor sleep quality of usual nights, habitual increased sleep latency, and habitual nocturnal awakening; it also affected average annual flight time and specialty(P〈0.05). The proportions of sleep quality on usual nights were 80.9%(good),16.6%(moderate) and 2.5%(poor),respectively.Whereas the proportions of sleep quality on flight eve were 65.9%(good),29.2%(moderate) and 4.9%(poor),respectively. The differences were statistically significant(χ2= 292.010,P〈0.05). Conclusion On flight eve, aviation personnel may have sleep changes in different forms and degree. Paying close attention to sleep habit and sleep quality is essential to preventing and adjusting sleep changes on flight eve. |
