| Abstract: | We describe 3 patients with rectus sheath hematoma presenting to the emergency department. Prompt consideration of this uncommon cause of abdominal pain may prevent more expensive and invasive diagnostic tests and, in some cases, unnecessary hospitalization and laparotomy. |
