| Abstract: | Pharmacognostical identification of eight kinds of fruits was made to determine the genuine and sham varieties of Fructus Crataegi. These include fruits of Crataegus pinnatifida Bge., C. pinnatifida. Bge. var. major N. E. Br., C cuneata sieb. et Zucc, Malus doumevi (Bois) Clus, M. melliana (Hand-Mass). Rehd., Pyrus betulaefolia Bge., P. pashia D. Don, and P. celleryana Dcne. Morphological characters, crude-drug properties, microhistological characters of the fruit cross section and fruit powder of the materials werealso compared in the experiment. |
