| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the expression of scavenger receptor-BI （SR-BI） in HE-1 cells. Methods The expression of SR- BI in HL-1 cells was detected by real time PCR and the expression of SR-BI on HL-1 cells was measured by FACS. Results The mRNA expression of SR- BI in HL- 1 cells （ 1.00 ± 0.03） increased significantly （ P 〈 0.01 ） when compared with HEK293 cells （0.07 ± 0.02）. Compared with protein expression of SR-BI on HEK293 cells （0.04 ± 0.02） % and on HU1 cells incubated with secondary antibody （0.40 ± 0.05） %, the protein expression of SR- BI on HL- 1 cells （ 11.10 ± 0.71 ） % increased significantly （ P 〈0.01 ）. Conclusions SR-BI can be detected in HL-1 cells and probably play a role in anti-atherosclerosis. |
