Abstract: | Acute pericarditis is almost invariably associated with sinus tachycardia. Recent-onset chest pain in the presence of (sinus) bradycardia is considered to be associated with an acute ischemic syndrome rather than acute pericarditis. This report describes a patient with acute pericarditis initially presenting with sinus bradycardia, probably due to a vasovagal response to (chest) pain. |
