| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the attitude towards basic nursing among nursing students and analyze the relating factors. Methods A total of 157 nursing students were sampled conveniently and investigated with a self - designed questionnaire. Results The mean score of attitude towards basic nursing was （ 158.52±25.66）. Nursing students considered therapeutic nursing as a part of basic nursing but things like assisting patients with processing urination and defecation,brushing body,bathing,combing （ or washing） hair, eating and foot care should not be included in basic nursing. The scores of attitudes among students with different educational background were statistically different（ P 〈 0.01 ）. The cognitive levels between the male and female students was significantly different（ P 〈 0.01 ）. Conclusion The students＇ attitude towards basic nursing is biased and the attitude towards daily life nursing is deficient. The effective measures can be taken according to the relating factors so as to enhance nursing students＇attitude towards basic nursing. |
