Treatment of dentine hypersensitivity with three kinds of desensitizers

Objective To investigate the effect of three kinds of desensitizers in the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity.Methods Dentine hypersensitivity of 180 teeth in 120 individuals was routinely treated with GreenOr,MS Coat desensitizer and Systemp desensitizer respectively.The patients were randoinly divided into three groups.Effective rates of the three agents on dentin hypersensitivity were examined immediately,1 month,6 months and 12 months after the treatment.Results The effectiveness of the three agents showed no difference immediately after the treatment.But the effectiveness of GreenOr group showed better effectiveness than other groups 6 moths later(χ2=6.236,P=0.044).12 months after the treatment,the efficacy of GreenOr was still significant higher(χ2=6.190,P=0.045).Conclusions GreenOr is an efective desensitizer for dentin hypersensitivity.
