The Effects of Premature Rupture of Membranes in Late Trimester of Pregnancy on Delivery Modes and Pregnancy Outcomes

Objective The effects of premature rupture of membranes in late trimester of pregnancy on delivery modes and pregnancy outcomes were explored.Methods The clinical data of 87 women in late trimester of pregnancy who were admitted to the hospital from September 2018 to March 2019 were retrospectively analyzed in this study.43 women who felt uncomfortable but without premature rupture of membranes were included in the control group,and 44 women with premature rupture of membranes were included in the test group.The fetal positions,delivery modes and adverse pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were counted and compared.Results The incidence of the occipito-anterior position of the test group was lower than that of the control group,and the incidences of occipito-transverse and occipito-posterior positions were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The rate of natural delivery of the test group was lower than that of the control group,the incidence of caesarean of the test group was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of vaginal delivery of the test group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of maternal and neonatal adverse outcomes of the test group were both higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Premature rupture of membranes was closely related to dystocia,with the results of high incidences of abnormal fetal position,cesarean,and vaginal delivery and it could also resulted in adverse pregnancy outcomes for mothers and infants.More attentions and monitoring should be paid to the women with premature rupture of membranes in clinic,thus the abnormal phenomenon could be found early and further we could take effective measures to reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
