| Abstract: | During room air breathing and CO2 rebreathing test, mouth occlusion pressure(P0.1),respiratory rate(RR) and minute ventilation (VE), etc, were measured in three groups. The result showed that, the breathing pattern, respiratory drive and respiratory response to CO2 in simple snoring subjects (group S) were similar to those in normal controls (group C), Patients with OSAS exhibitied a shallow, frequent breathing pattern and increased respiratory drive, compared with the other two groups. The response of P0.1 and VE to CO2 in OSAS patients was markedly lower than in simple snoring and normal subjects. |
