Efficacy of Xiaoer Resuqing syrup combined with azithromycin in the treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae in children

Objective To investigate the effect of Xiaoer Resuqing syrup combined with azithromycin in the treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae in children.Methods A total of 120 children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae were divided into control group and observation group according to random numerical table,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral azithromycin,and the observation group was treated with Xiaoer Resuqing syrup on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions and clinical indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than 78.33%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of the observation group was 8.33%,which was a little lower than 15.00%of the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The disappearance time of cough,high fever,shortness of breath,headache chest tightness,and hospitalization time of the observation group were(3.51±1.03),(2.53±0.62),(3.24±0.78),(4.03±1.22)and(8.05±2.13)d,which were shorter than(4.38±1.55),(3.76±1.01),(4.63±1.41),(5.31±1.48)and(9.74±2.76)d of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae,the combination of Xiaoer Resuqing syrup and azithromycin can optimize the treatment indicators,control the clinical symptoms in time,and shorten the treatment time.It has been proven to be a safe and effective combination treatment.
