The value of MRI and CT in the diagnosis of senile multiple cerebral infarction

Objective To study the value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and CT in the diagnosis of senile multiple cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 80 senile patients with multiple cerebral infarction were taken as study subjects,and all of them were examined by MRI and CT.The detection rate,the detection of lesions,and the satisfaction of diagnostician of the two inspection methods were compared.Results The detection rate of MRI was 97.50%,which was higher than 75.00%of CT,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of diagnostician of MRI was 98.75%,which was higher than 75.00%of CT,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of lesions detected by MRI(3.62±0.61)lesions was more than(2.11±0.37)lesions detected by CT,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The detection rate of MRI is higher,and MRI can effectively provide the basis for clinical diagnosis,and diagnostician are more satisfied with the diagnosis.Therefore,MRI should be popularized and applied in clinic.
