A METHOD OF SCREENING FOR SUSPECTEDECTOPIC PREGNANCY |

| Abstract: | A new method of distinguishing between normaland ectopic pregnancy is presented. The basis ofthis method is the presence and high levels of humanchorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in cervical mucus ofintrauterine pregnant women. Of 104 suspectedectopic pregnancy cases examined by this method inthis study, 36 were proved by laparotomy to becctopic pregnancy. |
