| Abstract: | Recent advances of cataract surgery and intraocular lens (IOL) studies are reviewed briefly. This article reviews the progress in cataract surgery (technique, instruments and equipments), intraocular refractive surgery, IOL, the advantages and the disadvantages of various new techniques in the last 5 years. The importance of establishment of a patient selection criteria and a standard procedure are important for the development of a new intervention. New technology in the field of ophthalmology should be developed actively and carefully. |
