Analysis of surgical treatment of femoral shaft fracture combined with ipsilateral femoral neck fracture

Objective To discuss the surgical treatment of femoral shaft fracture combined with ipsilateral femoral neck fracture and its clinical effect.Methods A total of 80 cases of femoral shaft fracture combined with ipsilateral femoral neck fracture were divided into observation group(36 cases)and control group(44 cases)according to different treatment methods.The control group was treated with femoral reconstruction intramedullary nails, and the observation group was treated with locking compression plates and hollowcompression screws. The operation time, fracture healing time and excellent rate of treatment were comparedbetween the two groups. Results The operation time (79.7±19.1) min of the observation group was shorterthan (116.3±22.9) min of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There wasno statistically significant difference in fracture healing time between the two groups (P>0.05). There was nostatistically significant difference in excellent rate of treatment between the two groups (P>0.05). ConclusionCombination of femoral shaft fractures andipsilateral femoral neck fractures is difficult to treat clinically. Areasonable surgical method should be selected according to the location of the fracture and the displacement inorder to achieve satisfactory treatment results.
