期刊视角的近代上海名医文化效应研究

以中国近代中医药期刊为主视角,以近代中医名家为研究主体,探讨近代上海名医文化区域特征。近代上海名医多家学渊源,国学功底深厚,以文会友,在期刊阵营中思想活跃;上海为近代中医药期刊创刊的主阵地,名医办刊办学,刊学相辅,使中医教育呈现出师承、家学、院校、函授等多种模式相结合的发展趋势。生逢乱世的近代上海名医,将中医的命运与民族命运紧密相连,注重扶持民族企业,研发自主品牌,这标志着近代中医民族品牌意识开始觉醒。近代上海名医具有传统中医的特色,深受江南地域文化影响,又注重吸收和借鉴西方医学,形成了异彩纷呈的海派特色。     

帛书《五十二病方·祛疣》的巫医文化内涵

述析帛书《五十二病方·祛疣》医方,其施治所用“道具”“仪式或动作”“祝辞”等是巫术治疗的三要素,同时与施术治疗相关的神秘数字“三、七”,特殊时日“月晦日”、咒语“祝辞”“禹步”等既极具巫医文化内涵又与现代医学的“时间生物学”、心理学以及体育疗法等存在理论关联性,很好地佐证了“医起于巫,巫医同源”的观点。通过对其巫医文化内涵的分析,表明巫医存在的时代科学性,同时也存在一定的适用局限性,这都将有利于今后继续对巫医问题进行系统性和前瞻性的讨论研究。     

‘Care-ful’ boundary negotiation: Curating translocal subjectivities among Japanese women in London

This paper explores the everyday experience of Japanese female migrants in London. Asking how culture can offer us a lens through which to understand the diversity and heterogeneity of care in this globalised world, the Japanese concept of omoiyari, as curation of landscapes of care, is used as an analytical lens to unpack the interplay between culture, care and identity, illuminating the boundary-drawing aspects of ethics of care with which people make ongoing distinctions between self and others, and constructing translocal subjectivities. Understanding care as a form of communication, this paper uncovers the contextual and relational formation of care and self, and how this is enabled as well as constrained by culture. It contributes to an understanding of the relational formation of care in which caring practice is neither static nor embedded in place and culture, but is rather shaped through relationships dynamically, while social relationships in turn also shape the meaning of care.     

Rapid identification of nonblood sterile site broth cultures using the FilmArray blood culture identification panel

The FilmArray Blood Culture Identification Panel was validated for nonblood sterile site specimens with clinical impact of rapid identification compared to conventional diagnostics. The panel accurately identified target organisms from 98% of positive broth cultures a median 1.1?day faster than conventional techniques (P?<?0.0001) with potential clinical impact in 22% of cases.

MiR-92b-3p ameliorates inflammation and autophagy by targeting TRAF3 and suppressing MKK3-p38 pathway in caerulein-induced AR42J cells

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory disease with high morbidity and mortality. Dysregulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) was involved in human diseases, including AP. However, the effects of miR-92b-3p on AP process and its mechanism remain not been fully clarified. The expression levels of miR-92b-3p and tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor-3 (TRAF3) were measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The protein levels of TRAF3, tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) TNF-α, interleukin-6 (IL-6), phosphorylated mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 3 (p-MKK3), MKK3, p38 and phosphorylated p38 (p-p38) were detected by western blot. The concentration of TNF-α and IL-6 in the medium was measured using ELISA kits. The possible binding sites of miR-92b-3p and TRAF3 were predicted by TargetScan and verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay. The expression level of miR-92b-3p was decreased and TRAF3 expression was increased in AR42J cells stimulated with caerulein. Moreover, the protein levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6) were markedly elevated, and the expression levels of autophagy-related markers Beclin1 as well as the ratio of LC3-II/I were obviously increased in AR42J cells treated with caerulein. In addition, overexpression of miR-92b-3p or knockdown of TRAF3 significantly suppressed the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and autophagy in caerulein-induced AR42J cells. Furthermore, TRAF3 was a direct target of miR-92b-3p and its upregulation reversed the effects of miR-92b-3p overexpression on inflammatory response and autophagy. Besides, overexpression of miR-92b-3p inhibited the activation of the MKK3-p38 pathway by affecting TRAF3 expression. In conclusion, miR-92b-3p attenuated inflammatory response and autophagy by downregulating TRAF3 and suppressing MKK3-p38 pathway in caerulein-induced AR42J cells, providing a novel avenue for treatment of AP.     

Actualización en el diagnóstico de las infecciones de transmisión sexual

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are one of the most frequent and universal Public Health problems. Health professionals should be aware of the possibility of STIs due to their high morbidity and the presence of sequelae. The delay in the diagnosis is one of the factors that justifies the difficulty to infections control. Diagnostic tests allow the introduction of aetiological treatment and also lead to treating symptomatic and asymptomatic patients more effectively, as well as to interrupt the epidemiological transmission chain without delay. In this review we have made an update of the main existing diagnostic methods for the more important STIs.
