Die Diagnostische Bedeutung der Flockungsreaktion mit Hayemscher Lösung im Ascites

Zusammenfassung Die von uns angegebene Flockungsprobe im Serum mit Hayemscher Lösung zur Diagnose der atrophischen Lebercirrhose und zur einfachen Erkennung der meisten Takata-positiven und Takata-negativen Seren eignet sich auch zur Untersuchung von Ascites bezüglich seiner Genese. Auf Zusatz von Hayemscher Lösung zeigt der Ascites bei Lebercirrhose ein wesentlich anderes Verhalten als der Ascites bei Carcinom, Nephrose oder Herzinsuffizienz. Die einfache und rasch ausführbare Untersuchung des frischen Ascites mit Hayemscher Losung gestattet daher einen Ascites bei Lebercirrhose von solchen anderer Genese in kurzer Zeit zu differenzieren.

CT scan and threshold vibrometry in the diagnosis of spinocerebellar degenerations

45 patients with spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD) underwent through quantitative investigation of the ventricular and cisternal systems by CT scanning and threshold vibrometry in the limbs to find out whether these parameters could be used for distinguishing mainly spinal from cerebellar forms or from olivopontoce-rebellar atrophy. The increase in the vibration sense threshold and the mild atrophy in the posterior cranial fossa proved typical of spinal forms and the reverse for cerebellar forms. In olivopontocerebellar atrophy enlargement of the cisterns and dilatation of the ventricles always exceeded 85% of normal values.

Sommario 45 pazienti affetti da degenerazione spinocerebellare (SCD) sono stati sottoposti ad uno studio approfondito di esplorazione quantitativa del sistema ventricolare e cisternale alla TAC e della soglia di percezione vibratoria agli arti per valutare la possibilità di distinguere con questi parametri le forme prevalentemente spinali da quelle cerebellari o delle atrofie olivopontocerebellari. L'aumento della soglia vibratoria e la modesta atrofia in fossa posteriore è risultata tipica delle forme spinali, mentre l'inverso si verifica per le forme cerebellari. Nelle atrofie olivopontocerebellari l'allargamento delle cisterne e la dilatazione dei ventricoli supera quasi sempre l'85% rispetto ai casi normali.

     

Postoperative radiotherapy of the prostate for patients undergoing radical prostatectomy with positive margins, seminal vesicle involvement and/or penetration through the capsule

A group of 159 patients previously reported as having margins positive for disease after radical prostatectomy with or without adjunctive postoperative radiation was reanalyzed to determine whether the reported benefit did indeed exist. Upon re-examination of the 159 patients 15 were identified who did not receive radical prostatectomy but who were analyzed as if they had received this therapy. An updated review of the total pool of 159 patients with analysis as to failure, death of any cause or death of prostatic cancer demonstrated no benefit of postoperative radiation therapy for margin positive disease. Exclusion of patients who did not receive radical prostatectomy and analysis as described also failed to identify any benefit of postoperative adjunctive radiation therapy.

Splenogonadal fusion is a rare anomaly to be included in the differential diagnosis of testicular masses. It is often associated with congenital defects, including peromelia and micrognathia. A case is presented and the literature reviewed.
