A high resolution depth attenuation product (Kdhires) was developed using MODIS 500 m and 250 m spectral bands. The Kdhires was compared with Wang’s operational Kd for the Chesapeake Bay. Minimal differences were observed between the two methods, with greatest deviation occurring in areas of high turbidity in the tributaries. After tuning the new Kdhires, the mean absolute error and bias between the two algorithms was 0.22 m?1 and 0.026 m?1, indicating good agreement. Higher spatial resolution provides for improved retrievals along the coast and into the narrow sections of the tributaries, coinciding with areas of concern to estuarine health and coastal management applications.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to explore the relationship between college graduates’ dual self-consciousness, job search clarity and perceived stress, and reveal the mediating role of perceived stress between dual self-consciousness and job search clarity. In this study, 467 college graduates were investigated using the Dual Self-Consciousness Scale, Job Search Clarity Scale, and Perceived Stress Scale. After controlling for gender, age, and region, the results revealed that: (1) private self-consciousness has a significant positive predictive effect on job search clarity; (2) perceived stress has a significant negative predictive effect on job search clarity; (3) perceived stress plays partial mediation effects between private self-consciousness and job search clarity; (4) perceived stress plays complete mediation effects between public self-consciousness and job search clarity; (5) perceived stress has suppressing effects between public self-consciousness and job search clarity.  相似文献

As healthcare delivery becomes increasingly interprofessional, it is imperative to identify opportunities for effective collaboration and coordination of care. Drawing on a Canadian qualitative study that adopted a constant comparative method based on the grounded theory approach, we report how healthcare providers’ (HCPs) personal experiences and professional roles intersect with system factors in hindering or enhancing their ability to support patients and families in planning for end-of-life (EOL) care. We used a criterion-based sampling strategy and sought HCPs who had direct experience engaging patients and families in complex healthcare decisions on: (1) initiating, withholding, or withdrawing treatment; (2) care planning; and/or (3) discharge planning. Interviews sought to understand what HCPs perceived as individual, (inter)professional, and system factors that might hinder, promote, or enhance support for patients/families. We present four major intersecting themes from in-depth interviews with 28 HCPs across acute, long-term, and community care settings that represent three barriers and one facilitator: discomfort with death and dying, confusion about role responsibility, lack of coordinated care, and importance of interprofessional teamwork. Attending to system power hierarchy, we explore interprofessional strategies to support patients’ and families’ care experiences and promote team-based decision-making. We recommend an interprofessional team approach to facilitate EOL decision-making across care settings and before death becomes imminent. Increasing educational initiatives and developing tools that focus on interprofessional collaboration may help HCPs to understand each other’s roles and perspectives, so that they can work together to provide a more coherent and coordinated approach to EOL decision-making.  相似文献

The measurement of pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) is a common nursing practice in hemodynamic monitoring of patients in the emergency room and intensive care unit. Several researchers have proposed that PAP should be measured with the patient in a supine position with legs horizontal in order to promote a relaxed state. The most widely used reference point is the phlebostatic axis, which is located at the intersection of the fourth intercostal space and the midchest level. However, this positioning requirement is in conflict with one of the goals of nursing care, which is to achieve comfortable positioning of the patient without compromising respiratory or cardiovascular function. In addition, since frequent readings are necessary, critically ill patients can lose valuable sleep time. The existing literature still fails to justify the validity of the phlebostatic axis as an external reference point for leveling the pressure transducer. In addition, findings on the accuracy of readings obtained in the supine, Fowler's and lateral recumbent positions are also in conflict. This paper reviewed research related to measurement of PAP in the supine, various Fowler's, and lateral positions in order to clarify the major factors which might have resulted in the conflicts in data on PAP measurements. Suggestions are also provided for nurse clinicians to obtain more accurate PAP measurements.  相似文献

Background Despite the expanding deployment of support workers in mental health services, little evidence exists on what managers and professional practitioners should expect of such staff in community settings. Aims This case study evaluated the introduction of support workers in community mental health teams for older adults. Method A multiple method design engaged support workers and professional colleagues in individual interviews, a focus group and a work satisfaction survey. Results While the new resource boosted service provision, disparity between the intended role and the assumptions of professional practitioners caused confusion and dissatisfaction. Conclusions The study highlights the need for managers to ensure role clarity when non‐professional workers are introduced into multidisciplinary community teams. Implications for nursing management Promoting diversity of skills in the mental health workforce is a progressive move in tuning services to the heterogenous needs of clients in the community. However, introducing unqualified workers into multi‐disciplinary teams necessitates clear guidance to prevent their activity being confined within existing professional models. Support workers offer much potential in innovative service delivery.  相似文献
