Objective: Green tea (GT) contains polyphenolic flavonoids, different minerals like magnesium, calcium, and zinc, vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates, proteins, and others. It has a different health benefit. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of intragastric gavage of a high dose GT extract on serum biochemical analysis of magnesium, calcium, and zincin juvenile Wistar albino rats. Methods: Twelve rats were used in the study and divided in to two equal groups. All the animals in the control group were intragastically gavaged by distilled water and continues for ten days, from day 24 to day 34 of age, while the animals in the study group were intragastically gavaged by GT extract (300mg/kg/day) which continues also for ten days from day 24 to day 34 of age. On day 34 of age, and two hours after the last dose, the rats were anaesthetized and blood collection by cardiac puncture was taken. Results: The results showed that the intragastric gavage of a high dose of GT extract caused a non-significant increase in serum magnesium, and calcium levels (p>0.05), but a significant increase in zinc serum level was seen(p< 0.05). Conclusion: GT can cause a significant increase in zinc serum level, and this may explain the significant role of GT in the response to different oxidative stress. It is recommended to measure the Zn serum level in rats after a period longer than two hrs from the time of the last dose of intragastric gavage of GT extract.  相似文献

Background

Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is an important cause of premature death and disability worldwide. Magnesium sulphate is shown to have a neuroprotective effect and it reverses cerebral vasospasm. Milrinone is also used in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm. The aim of the present study was to compare the effect of prophylactic magnesium sulphate and milrinone on the incidence of cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Methods

The study included 90 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage classified randomly (by simple randomization) into two groups: magnesium sulphate was given as an infusion of 500 mg.day?1 without loading dose for 21 days. Group B: milrinone was given as an infusion of 0.5 μg.kg?1.min?1 without loading dose for 21 days. The cerebral vasospasm was diagnosed by mean cerebral blood flow velocity in the involved cerebral artery (mean flow velocity  120 cm.s?1), neurological deterioration by Glasgow coma scale, or angiography (the decrease in diameter of the involved cerebral artery >25%).

Results

The mean cerebral blood flow velocity decreased significantly in the magnesium group compared to milrinone group through Day 7, Day 14 and Day 21 (p < 0.001). The incidence of cerebral vasospasm decreased significantly with magnesium compared to milrinone (p = 0.007). The Glasgow coma scale significantly improved in the magnesium group compared to milrinone group through Day 7, Day 14 and Day 21 (p = 0.036, p = 0.012, p = 0.016, respectively). The incidence of hypotension was higher with milrinone than magnesium (p = 0.012).

Conclusions

The incidence of cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage was significantly lower and Glasgow coma scale significantly better with magnesium when compared to milrinone. Milrinone was associated with a higher incidence of hypotension and requirement for dopamine and norepinephrine when compared to magnesium.  相似文献

Objective

Postoperative pain control is important in terms of early recovery and rehabilitation in arthroscopic meniscectomy. For this purpose, we aimed to compare the effects of intraarticular tramadol, magnesium, and ketamine with combinations of pericapsular bupivacaine on postoperative pain and recovery in arthroscopic meniscectomy.

Methods

Ninety patients who underwent arthroscopic meniscectomy were enrolled in the study. Group T was given tramadol, Group K was given ketamine, and Group M was given magnesium reconstituted intraarticularly, and all groups received periarticular bupivacaine. Comparisons were made in terms of the patients’ postoperative Visual Analogue Scale scores with and without movement, need for additional analgesics, first analgesic time, mobilization times, adverse effects, and satisfaction with the analgesics.

Results

The Visual Analogue Scale scores were lowest in Group T at 0 minutes, and were higher in the 15th and 30th minutes and 1st, 2nd, and 6th hours. Visual Analogue Scale values with movement were found to be high in Group M at 0 and 15 minutes, but they were found to be higher in group T in the 30th minute, 1st, 2nd and 6th hour. The groups were similar in terms of postoperative additional analgesic use, number of analgesic use, and satisfaction with analgesics; however, the first analgesic time was earlier in Group M, and the first mobilization time was earlier in Group K.

Conclusion

Intraarticular ketamine enables early mobilization and less need for additional analgesics, it also provides a better analgesic effect in comparison with intraarticular tramadol and magnesium.  相似文献

An understanding of the thermodynamics of the complexation process utilized in sustaining drug release in clay matrices is of great importance.Several characterisation techniques as well as isothermal calorimetry were utilized in investigating the adsorption process of a model cationic drug(diltiazem hydrochloride,DIL)onto a pharmaceutical clay system(magnesium aluminium silicate,MAS).X-ray powder diffraction(XRPD),attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATRFTIR)and optical microscopy confirmed the successful formation of the DIL-MAS complexes.Drug quantification from the complexes demonstrated variable behaviour in the differing media used with DIL degrading to desacetyl diltiazem hydrochloride(DC-DIL)in the 2 M HCl media.Here also,the authors report for the first time two binding processes that occurred for DIL and MAS.A competitor binding model was thus proposed and the thermodynamics obtained suggested their binding processes to be enthalpy driven and entropically unfavourable.This information is of great importance for a formulator as care and consideration should be given with appropriate media selection as well as the nature of binding in complexes.  相似文献

目的 探讨应用雷公藤多甙联合异甘草酸镁治疗自身免疫性肝炎(AIH)儿童的疗效及对血清白介素-17(IL-17)和趋化因子10(CXCL10)水平的影响。方法 2018年1月~2019年3月我院儿科收治的AIH患儿57例,随机分为观察组29例和对照组28例。给予对照组异甘草酸镁注射液静脉滴注治疗,观察组在对照组治疗的基础上加用雷公藤多苷片口服治疗,两组均持续治疗8周。采用ELISA法检测血清IL-17、趋化因子8(CXCL8)和CXCL10水平。结果 治疗后,观察组和对照组血清谷草转氨酶(AST)水平分别为(48.4±9.3)U/L和(61.2±12.5) U/L (P<0.05)、丙氨酸氨基转移酶(ALT)水平分别为[(59.3±7.6)U/L和(66.4±9.7)U/L (P<0.05)、碱性磷酸酶(ALP)水平分别为(60.2±5.1)U/L和(75.7±6.4)U/L(P<0.05);两组血清免疫球蛋白G(IgG)水平分别为(13.8±2.9)mg/L和(16.3±3.4)mg/L(P<0.05)、IgA水平分别为(2.4±0.3)mg/L和(2.9±0.5)mg/L(P<0.05)、IgM水平分别为(2.6±0.3)mg/L和(3.1±0.4)mg/L (P<0.05);血清IL-17水平分别为(6.8±0.7)ng/ml和(7.3±0.9)ng/ml (P<0.05)、CXCL8水平分别为(10.4±1.2)pg/ml和(13.8±1.6) pg/ml (P<0.05)、CXCL10水平分别为(16.3±2.5) pg/ml和(22.6±3.7)pg/m (P<0.05);治疗后,观察组患儿不良反应发生率为12.5%,与对照组的7.5%比,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论 在异甘草酸镁治疗的基础上加用雷公藤多甙治疗儿童AIH疗效较好,安全性高,可有效改善肝功能和免疫功能,降低机体炎症反应,值得临床进一步验证。  相似文献

目的观察硫酸镁治疗急性脑梗死的疗效,分析镁离子对急性脑梗死患者美国国立卫生研究院卒中量表评分(NIHSS)及神经元特异性烯醇化酶(NSE)的影响。方法选择2016年3月-2019年9月在广东省潮州市人民医院住院治疗的急性脑梗死患者100例,根据掷币法随机分为观察组50例和对照组50例。对照组采用综合治疗,观察组在对照组治疗基础上联合硫酸镁治疗。比较2组患者治疗前后NIHSS评分、NSE水平及临床疗效和不良反应发生情况。结果2组治疗后NIHSS评分均低于治疗前(P<0.05),且观察组NIHSS评分低于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗第5天,2组NSE均升高(P<0.05),但观察组低于对照组(P<0.05);治疗第10天,2组NSE均低于治疗前和治疗第5天(P<0.05),且观察组低于对照组(P<0.05)。观察组总有效率为88.0%高于对照组的70.0%(P<0.05)。2组均未见严重不良反应发生。结论硫酸镁可为急性脑梗死的辅助治疗提供新的方法。  相似文献

目的 探讨普米克令舒联合硫酸镁治疗新生儿胎粪吸入综合征的临床效果.方法 纳入广东省茂名市人民医院2010年4月~2014年4月收治的新生儿胎粪吸入综合征患儿123例.将其分为观察组(n=43)、硫酸镁组(n=40)、普米克令舒组(n=40).观察组采用普米克令舒联合硫酸镁治疗,硫酸镁组给予硫酸镁治疗,普米克令舒组给予普米克令舒治疗.对比分析三组患儿治疗前后动脉血气指标水平、肺动脉收缩压(PASP)、氧暴露时间、住院时间及疗效.结果 观察组治疗后12、24 hpH与同期硫酸镁组和普米克令舒组比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),血氧分压明显高于硫酸镁组和普米克令舒组,动脉血二氧化碳分压明显低于硫酸镁组和普米克令舒组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组治疗后12、24 h PASP水平明显低于硫酸镁组和普米克令舒组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组氧暴露时间[(5.49±0.85)d]和住院时间[(12.95±2.31)d]均显著短于硫酸镁组[(7.93±1.12)、(16.41±2.57)d]及普米克令舒组[(7.78±1.05)、(16.23±2.41)d],差异有统计学意义(P< 0.05);观察组总有效率(86.05%)显著高于硫酸镁组(65.00%)和普米克令舒组(62.50%),差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).结论 普米克令舒联合硫酸镁治疗新生儿胎粪吸入综合征临床效果显著,具有重要的临床研究价值.  相似文献

目的:观察地佐辛复合硫酸镁在治疗腰硬联合麻醉中寒颤反应的效果。方法以发生寒颤反应的60例患者随机分组以实验组(地佐辛复合硫酸镁)与常规治疗对照组(曲马多复合氟哌利多)进行疗效比较。结果实验组与对照组疗效接近,但不良反应较少。结论佐辛复合小剂量硫酸镁可安全用于治疗腰硬联合麻醉后患者发生寒颤且具有镇静作用较好、恶心、呕吐发生率较低等优点。  相似文献

目的 探讨硫酸镁联合尼莫地平治疗妊娠期高血压的临床效果.方法 选取2012年3月至2015年3月于本院治疗的80例妊娠高血压患者,将其随机分为观察组与对照组,各40例.对照组采用硫酸镁以及其他常规方法治疗,观察组则采用硫酸镁联合尼莫地平治疗,两组均治疗1个月.评定、对比两组临床疗效.结果 经过长期有效的治疗,观察组血压状况得到明显改善,远超对照组(P<0.05);观察组总有效率为95.5%,对照组为71.4%,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).分娩后观察组新生儿状况优于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组与对照组妊娠结局差异有统计学有意义(P<0.05).结论 硫酸镁联合尼莫地平治疗妊娠期高血压症效果明显,具有一定的安全性,值得临床进一步研究与推广.  相似文献
