目的:了解学龄前儿童口腔中挥发性硫化物的检出情况,分析引起学龄前儿童口臭的主要相关因素,为儿童口臭和相关疾病的预防和治疗提供依据. 方法:对北京市某幼儿园170名4~6岁学龄前儿童口腔中挥发性硫化物( volatile sulfur compounds,VSC)含量和口腔健康状况进行检查,对儿童家长进行问卷调查,挥发性硫化物的检测使用便携式气相色谱仪OralChromaTM. 使用SPSS 13. 0软件包,进行VSC与口腔健康状况和行为等的单因素和多因素分析. 结果:单因素分析结果显示,检出口臭的儿童占全部受检人数的34. 4%. 女童口腔中硫化氢( hydro-gen sulfide,H2S)[(1.59 ±2.41) ng/10 mL]和VSC总量[(2.14 ±4.42) ng/10 mL]高于男童(P<0.05). 舌苔指数高的儿童的H2S[舌苔面积(1.68 ±2.48) ng/10 mL,舌苔厚度(2.18 ±2.69) ng/10 mL)和VSC总量[舌苔面积(2. 26 ± 4. 31) ng/10 mL,舌苔厚度(2. 41 ± 3. 02) ng/10 mL]高于舌苔指数低的儿童(P<0. 01). 简化软垢指数记分值≥2的位点数值与甲硫醇(methyl mercaptan,CH3SH)和二甲基硫[dimethyl sulfide,(CH3)2S]浓度呈正相关(P<0.01);母亲受教育程度在本科及以上的儿童口腔中H2S值[(1.19 ±1.62)ng/10 mL]显著低于母亲教育程度在本科以下的儿童(P<0. 01);甜食进食频率高的儿童H2S浓度[(1. 04 ± 1. 55) ng/10 mL]低于频率低的儿童(P<0. 01);有张口呼吸习惯的儿童CH3SH和(CH3)2S浓度[(0. 29 ± 1. 92) ng/10 mL,(0. 37 ± 2. 06) ng/10 mL]显著高于没有张口呼吸习惯的儿童(P<0. 05). Logistic多因素分析结果显示,舌苔指数高、母亲教育程度低的儿童VSC高于舌苔指数低和母亲教育程度高的儿童. 结论:学龄前儿童口臭检出率高,性别、舌苔指数、软垢指数、母亲教育程度、甜食进食频率、张口呼吸等因素是儿童口臭的相关影响因素,不同影响因素导致不同VSC成分的改变.  相似文献

Wåler SM. The effect of zinc-containing chewing gum on volatile sulfur-containing compounds in the oral cavity.

Volatile sulfur-containing compounds (VSC) are known to constitute the major component of halitosis. Aqueous solutions of zinc salts have been shown to reduce the levels of VSC produced orally. The aim of the present study was to examine whether zinc could be made available in the oral cavity and inhibit VSC production when delivered by a chewing gum. VSC measurements were carried out on the ‘morning breath’ of 11 test subjects and re-examined after the use of test solutions containing 0.02% zinc chloride, 0.2% chlorhexidine, or water or the use of chewing gums containing 2 mg, 0.5 mg, or 0 mg zinc acetate. The results showed that similar amounts of zinc in mouthrinses or chewing gum had the same effect, with a reduction of the oral VSC of 45%. Chewing gum thus seems to be a viable alternative for delivering zinc to reduce I'SC levels in the oral cavity.  相似文献

目的:了解牙周门诊患者的口臭自我评价情况,并分析影响因素。方法:选取接受过口臭检测且不吸烟的患者435名,进行口气检测与问卷调查,其中312人接受了舌苔检查。结果:435名受检者中,273人认为自己有口臭,将这273名主诉口臭患者按实际检测的有、无分为真性口臭组(188人,68.8%)与假性口臭组(85人,31.2%)。假性口臭组中不愿意提及口臭的患者比例高于真性口臭组,两组间差异有统计学意义(P=0.003)。假性口臭组中接受过口臭治疗的患者比例高于真性口臭组,差异具有统计学意义(P=0.029)。多因素分析表明,刷牙出血(OR=2.905,P<0.001)、舌苔面积≥2(OR=2.395,P=0.019)、舌苔厚度≥2(OR=3.419,P<0.001)的患者更容易产生口臭。结论:并非所有主诉口臭的患者均为真性口臭,假性口臭患者心理状态与真性口臭患者不同;刷牙出血、舌苔面积大、舌苔厚度厚的患者更容易产生真性口臭。  相似文献

ObjectivesHalitosis, also known as bad breath or oral malodour, is a condition affecting a large proportion of the population. Solobacterium moorei is a Gram-positive anaerobic bacterium that has been specifically associated with halitosis. In this study, we investigated the effects of essential oils, more particularly cinnamon bark oil, on growth, biofilm formation, eradication and killing, as well as hydrogen sulfide (H2S) production by S. moorei.MethodsA broth microdilution assay was used to determine the antibacterial activity of essential oils. Biofilm formation was assessed by a crystal violet staining assay and scanning electron microscopy. The biofilm of S. moorei was characterized by enzymatic treatments. Biofilm killing was determined by a luminescence assay monitoring ATP production. H2S production was quantified with a colorimetric assay. The biocompatibility of cinnamon oil was investigated using a gingival keratinocyte cell line.ResultsAmong the ten essential oils tested, cinnamon oil was found to be the most powerful against S. moorei with MIC and MBC values of 0.039% and 0.156%, respectively. The biofilm formed by S. moorei was then characterized. The fact that DNase I and to a lesser extent proteinase K significantly reduced biofilm formation by S. moorei and induced its eradication suggests that the extracellular matrix of S. moorei biofilm may be mainly containing a DNA backbone associated with proteins. At concentrations below the MIC, cinnamon oil reduced S. moorei biofilm formation that resulted from an attenuation of bacterial growth. It was also found that treatment of a pre-formed biofilm of S. moorei with cinnamon oil significantly decreased its viability although it did not cause its eradication. Cinnamon oil had an inhibitory effect on the production of H2S by S. moorei. Lastly, it was found that at concentrations effective against S. moorei, no significant loss of viability in gingival keratinocytes occurred after a 1-h exposure.ConclusionsOur study brought evidence that cinnamon oil may be a promising substance to incorporate into oral hygiene products for controlling bad breath by inhibiting growth, killing biofilm, and reducing H2S production by S. moorei. Moreover, at the effective concentrations, cinnamon oil was found to have no toxic effects on oral keratinocytes.  相似文献

目的:初探自我机械清除舌苔对舌苔源性口臭的治疗效果。方法: 选取舌苔源性口臭患者10名,随机分2组,试验组从基线始给予机械清除舌苔的指导,对照组不处理舌苔。在基线、1周、2周、4周、8周时进行口气检测,记录临床数据,比较试验组与对照组组内不同时间点临床指标的变化以及两组间的差异。结果: 试验组舌苔面积和舌苔厚度有降低的趋势,但此变化差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),试验组感官法口臭值明显降低(P<0.001)。两组口腔内挥发性硫化物浓度均呈现先降低再升高的变化趋势,对照组变化幅度较小,且差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。观察2个月后,试验组与对照组平均探诊深度及出血指数均显著低于基线时(P<0.05),但组间差异并无统计学意义(P>0.05)。两组组内不同时间点菌斑指数均无显著变化,两组间差异也无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论: 自我机械清除舌苔有降低舌苔面积和舌苔厚度的趋势,可以减轻口臭,但患者的自我清除有一定局限性。  相似文献

ObjectivesThe aim of this study was to evaluate whether a new method using quantitative light-induced fluorescence-digital (QLF-D) was appropriate for the diagnosis of oral malodor by quantifying the fluorescence of tongue coating.MethodsThis study examined 103 healthy subjects who have an oral malodor as a main complaint. The levels of oral malodor were measured by organoleptic scores (OLS) and volatile sulfur compound (VSC) levels. The fluorescent tongue coating images captured by QLF-D were quantified as the integrated fluorescence score (IF score) by multiplying the intensity and area of fluorescence. The correlations between the fluorescence parameters and OLS as well as VSC levels and the diagnostic accuracy of the IF score were evaluated.ResultsThe IF score of tongue coating showed a significant positive correlation with the OLS (r = 0.54, p < 0.01) and the VSC levels (r = 0.49, p < 0.01). This score was significantly differed with the level of oral malodor (p < 0.001), and its AUC was 0.72 in identifying the patient with definite oral malodor (≥OLS 2).ConclusionsA new method quantifying tongue coating fluorescence detected by QLF-D can be used to diagnose oral malodor and assess its severity in the clinical practice.  相似文献

Background:

Regarding the fact that halitosis has social and personal aspects which can lead to social embarrassment and consequently low self-esteem and self-confidence in subjects suffering from the problem, especially children, its proper treatment is an important issue.

Objectives:

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of metronidazole as a nonspecific antimicrobial agent in the treatment of halitosis in children.

Materials and Methods:

In this study, 2-10 years old children with oral halitosis were enrolled. Children without H. pylori infection and parasitic infection were randomized in two interventional and control groups. Metronidazole was given 5mg/kg/day for one week. Information regarding the demographic characteristics of studied population and halitosis (duration and time of day with more halitosis and its severity) before and after intervention was recorded using a questionnaire

Results:

77 children with halitosis were studied in two interventional (40 children) and control (37 children) groups. There was no significant difference between two groups before intervention. After intervention, halitosis improvement rate - according to the reports of mothers of studied children - was higher significantly in intervention group (P < 0.05).

Conclusions:

The results support the effectiveness of metronidazole in the treatment of halitosis. Moreover, it supports recent findings regarding the participation of specific bacteria specially unculturable ones in the pathogenesis of the disease.  相似文献

目的观察甲硝唑联合甲氧氯普安治疗口臭的临床疗效。方法将360例病理性口臭患者随机分两组,研究组181例,对照组179例,研究组予甲硝唑联合甲氧氯普安治疗,对照组给予甲硝唑治疗,观察两组临床疗效、起效时间及维持时间。结果研究组有效率为95.05%,对照组有效率为48.60%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05);研究组较对照组起效快、维持时间长,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05)。结论甲硝唑联合甲氧氯普安治疗口臭起效快,维持时间久,复发少。  相似文献

为探讨桂皮汤对脑卒中昏迷禁食、鼻饲患者口臭、口腔白色念珠菌感染的防治作用, 将脑卒中昏迷鼻饲多于1 周的113 例, 随机分为3 组, 分别用33-3% 桂皮汤,50% 桂皮汤和生理盐水进行口腔护理。结果: 桂皮汤1 组、2 组与对照组比较, 口臭、白色念珠菌感染患者构成比差异有显著性( P <0-01)。提示33-3 % 以上浓度桂皮汤对脑卒中昏迷鼻饲患者口臭、口腔白色念珠菌感染有良好的防治作用。  相似文献

目的:观察中西医结合治疗口臭的疗效。方法:将96例患者随机分为治疗组48例和对照组48例。治疗组运用中西医结合疗法治疗,对照组单用西医方法治疗,治疗前后进行对比观察。结果:治疗组临床治愈30例,显效10例,有效6例,无效2例;对照组治愈19例,显效8例,有效12例,无效9例,经统计学处理,两组疗效有显著性差异(P〈0.05)。结论:中西医结合治疗口臭疗效较好,优于单纯的西医治疗。  相似文献
