The purpose of the present review was to survey the available literature on computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)-produced resin composite materials to provide clinicians with a current overview of the key components necessary for daily clinical use. An electronic search was conducted in the PubMed database. Peer-reviewed articles in English language on the use of resin composites in CAD/CAM dental crowns were included. A total of 122 full-text articles were identified, 15 of which were selected during the initial review. Two additional articles were also discovered through a manual search, to obtain a final total of 17 articles included in the present review. Of these, 16 were to in vitro studies, and one was an in vivo study. Findings from the in vitro studies indicate that resin composite block materials for CAD/CAM applications demonstrate excellent physical properties and are appropriate for the clinical restoration of premolars and molars. However, the in vivo study reported a low 3-year success rate, but high survival rate for resin composite CAD/CAM crowns placed in the premolar region. The key to ensuring the successful prognosis of a resin composite CAD/CAM crown is to ensure that all steps—such as proper case selection, abutment tooth preparation, occlusal adjustment, and bonding—are accurately performed. 相似文献

With the application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided photon therapy, the concept of combining real-time MRI guidance with proton therapy, namely, MRI-guided proton therapy (MRPT), has attracted widespread attention. It is expected that MRPT canmitigate the uncertaintiesduring the treatment of proton therapy to make full use of the physical advantages of protons. However, multiple electromagnetic interactions between proton therapy and MRI-guided systems may lead to mutual interference between the two systems. Aim of studyThis is a retrospective study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of the use of electromagnetic fields and negative pressure treatment (V-EMF) for facial scars, from an aesthetic and functional point of view, and considering the variations in the levels of hydration.Material and methods25 subjects with facial scarring were re-evaluated after being treated with the V-EMF method. The hydration levels of the scars before and after treatment were compared. The results were evaluated considering the satisfaction levels of the patients with the VAS, and of the medical specialists who performed the treatment, and of 3 independent dermatologists with the Likert scale.ResultsMean hydration levels of scars went from 41.8 to 53.3, with mean hydration levels of healthy reference points equal to 54.6. The minimum patient satisfaction level was 2 in the VAS. The minimum level of satisfaction of specialists and dermatologists was equal to IV on the Likert scale for all patients, except for 1 subject in which it was III for the specialist who had treated him. Anti-aging and re-pigmentation effects were also noted as secondary results.ConclusionsFrom an aesthetic and functional point of view, and for the overall anti-aging effect of the treated area, V-EMF applied to facial scars has shown extremely promising results. 相似文献

外周神经电刺激可用于运动康复和慢性神经痛治疗,但目前具有空间选择性的无损刺激仍是一个有待解决的问题。提出一种基于时间相干(TI)电场的外周神经选择性无损电刺激方法,对大鼠坐骨神经进行实验,在其大腿腹侧与背侧皮肤上以平行于神经的方向布置刺激电极,通过相干电场扫描,将TI刺激峰值定位到神经上进行选择性刺激。结果表明,该方法可以在预先不知道神经确切位置的情况下通过扫描得出将刺激电场作用到神经的最佳电参数,从而实现对神经的选择性无损刺激,而且在刺激作用点不变的前提下实现刺激强度的控制。在此基础上研究TI电场对大鼠坐骨神经的刺激阈值IT,测量固定频差Δf=0.5 Hz(n=12),改变频率f=1~6 kHz与固定f=5 kHz(n=11),改变频差Δf=0.5~10 Hz下的IT,并将其和等幅kHz电场(n=7)的IT进行比较。结果表明,等幅kHz电场的IT显著高于TI电场(P<0.05),而且不同频率f下的IT也有显著性差异(P<0.05),而不同频差Δf下的IT却没有显著性差异(P>0.05),说明TI电流对大鼠坐骨神经的IT受f影响而不受Δf影响,且刺激阈值IT与频率f成正比关系。 相似文献

目的 探讨肿瘤电场治疗(tumor treating fields,TTFields)高级别脑胶质瘤患者的近期临床疗效及安全性。方法 回顾性分析2020年1月至2021年10月杭州市肿瘤医院收治的8例经病理确诊的高级别脑胶质瘤患者的临床资料,所有患者手术后均进行Stupp方案放化疗及TTFields,观察TTFields治疗效果、依从性和不良反应,并进行统计学分析。结果 8例患者开始使用TTFields时,2例为复发病例,6例为新诊断的高级别脑胶质瘤病例。使用TTFields的时间均≥2个月,治疗的中位依从性为91.5%。根据神经肿瘤反应评价(response assessment in neuro–oncology,RANO)标准,至随访结束时8例患者佩戴TTFields后疾病进展2例,疾病稳定6例。中位无进展生存期(progression–free survival,PFS)12.7个月。2例出现1~2级局部接触性皮炎,无3~4级不良反应。结论 TTFields能够有效改善高级别脑胶质瘤患者的预后,具有良好的安全性和耐受性。 相似文献

Although the rate of patients reporting satisfaction is generally high after joint replacement surgery, up to 23% after total hip replacement and 34% after total knee arthroplasty of treated subjects report discomfort or pain 1 year after surgery. Moreover, chronic or subacute inflammation is reported in some cases even a long time after surgery. Another open and debated issue in prosthetic surgery is implant survivorship, especially when related to good prosthesis bone ingrowth. Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields(PEMFs) treatment, although initially recommended after total joint replacement to promote bone ingrowth and to reduce inflammation and pain, is not currently part of usual clinical practice. The purpose of this review was to analyze existing literature on PEMFs effects in joint replacement surgery and to report results of clinical studies and current indications. We selected all currently available prospective studies or RCT on the use of PEMFs in total joint replacement with the purpose of investigating effects of PEMFs on recovery, pain relief and patients' satisfaction following hip, knee or shoulder arthroplasty. All the studies analyzed reported no adverse effects, and good patient compliance to the treatment. The available literature shows that early control of joint inflammation process in the first days after surgery through the use of PEMFs should be considered an effective completion of the surgical procedure to improve the patient's functional recovery. 相似文献
