AimTo examine the effectiveness of a Humanoid Diagram Teaching Strategy (HDTS) on care capabilities and retention of novice nurses.BackgroundGuiding novice nurses in clinical practice is a matter of concern and the use of diagrams in assisting the learning process and to promote learning efficiency has been acknowledged.DesignThis is a quasi-experimental study with asynchronous repeated measurements for the experimental and control groups.MethodsThe study was conducted in a medical centre in southern Taiwan with 24 novice nurses. The intervention, Humanoid Diagrams Teaching Strategy, contained three parts: the head and neck; trunk; and limbs. The HDTS was applied three time weekly. Each session lasted approximately 30 min and the training lasted 4 weeks. The effectiveness of HDTS was measured using Mini-CEX, CbD and retention rates in the 3rd and 6th months of novice nurses’ experience.ResultsAfter the HDTS, although increases in mini-CEX and CbD scores in the experimental group were greater than the control group, these differences were not statistically significant after considering the time interaction. But the 3rd month and 6th month novice nurses’ retention rates were statistically significantly different by comparing the differences under the time interaction effects in both groups.ConclusionsThe Humanoid Diagram Teaching Strategy is an effective tool for preceptors to use in assisting novice nurses in learning, improving their nursing care knowledge and technical skills and to increase their retention rate.  相似文献

IntroductionSurgical treatment of medium and large sized nasal septal perforation is challenging. Techniques with and without interposition grafts are used.ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to explain how we apply the sandwich graft technique that we use in medium and large nasal septal perforations as well as to present the results.MethodsWe retrospectively reviewed the patients who were operated with the sandwich graft technique between January 2014 to December 2018 and followed up for at least 6 months. The demographic data, symptom scores, examination, and surgical findings of the patients were taken from the hospital records. Surgical outcomes were presented according to both perforation etiologies (idiopathic or iatrogenic) and sizes (Group A: < 2 cm, Group B: ≥ 2 cm).ResultsWe reviewed 52 cases and 56 surgeries. The average diameter of the perforations was 19.2 mm. The success rate after initial surgeries was 84.6% (44/52). After 4 revision surgeries, the perforation was closed in 88.5% of the cases (46/52). Success rates for Group A and Group B were 90.0% and 86.4%, respectively (p = 0.689). The success rates in idiopathic and iatrogenic cases were 93.3% and 86.5%, respectively (p = 0.659).ConclusionThis study showed that the success rate of sandwich graft technique was higher in medium-sized perforations than large-sized ones and in idiopathic perforations compared to iatrogenic ones, but the latter rate was not statistically significant. This demonstrated that perforation size was not as important in the sandwich graft technique as in flap techniques.  相似文献

目的:探讨疏肝健脾法治疗月经不调的临床治疗效果,并总结相应护理方法。方法:选取自2017年9月-2018年9月在日照市中医医院接受诊疗的136例肝郁脾虚型月经不调患者随机分为对照组和研究组,对照组行逍遥丸治疗,并给予常规护理;研究组行逍遥散、参苓白术散治疗,并给予针对性护理,比较两组患者的治疗效果与护理满意度。结果:研究组治疗总有效率为91.18%(62/68),明显高于对照组的66.18%(45/68)(P<0.05);研究组患者护理满意率为94.12%(64/68),明显高于对照组的76.47%(52/68)(P<0.05)。结论:针对肝郁脾虚型月经不调患者,采取疏肝健脾法进行治疗具确切临床疗效,辅以针对性护理,还能提高患者护理满意度,值得推广应用。  相似文献

目的 丁书文教授创新性地提出了心系疾病热毒学说,运用益气活血解毒法治疗房颤疗效显著。本研究以丁教授多年的处方数据为基础,探讨丁教授益气活血解毒法治疗房颤的用药规律。方法 收集来自山东中医药大学附属医院门诊系统的丁书文教授处方数据,筛选出治疗房颤的372个处方,采用关联规则、点式互信息、复杂网络等数据挖掘方法对丁教授的药物配伍和处方进行分析。结果 本研究利用复杂网络分析方法获得了丁教授治疗房颤的核心处方,提示益气活血解毒法是其主要治则治法;利用处方相似性和社团分析方法,获得15组类方,其中3种类方与丁教授总结的三大治法高度符合;为探寻丁教授清热解毒配伍特点,结合关联规则和点式互信息算法,获得了10个丁教授清热解毒配伍药对。结论 数据挖掘技术提供了名医处方数据分析与提炼的可行方法,对丁教授经验的传承和临床应用提供直接可靠的依据。  相似文献

目的 介绍一种诊断脑室腹腔分流装置梗阻的方法。方法 选择2014年8月至2018年3月收治的腹腔分流术后病人32例,其中分流装置梗阻16例(梗阻组),分流装置通畅16例(对照组)。病人先平躺1 h后改坐位,将0.1 ml 5%葡萄糖溶液注射入贮液囊,20 min后抽0.1 ml,用生理盐水将其稀释1倍后应用血糖仪检测葡萄糖浓度。结果 对照组贮液囊内葡萄糖浓度[(6.6±1.6)mmol/L]较梗阻组[(31.9±2.8)mmol/L]明显下降(P<0.05)。梗阻组病人入院后均行脑室-腹腔分流管调整术,手术证实分流装置梗阻,术后病人颅内压增高症状消失,术后3 d复查头颅CT结果显示脑室体积较术前减小11例,无明显变化5例。结论 此方法可检测分流管内脑脊液的流动情况,为诊断分流装置梗阻提供一种新的方法。  相似文献

The COVID-19 outbreak has rapidly progressed into a worldwide pandemic, and the need for social distancing has changed the way we learn and work. Our monthly OMFS journal club has been no different, and is currently meeting on the video conferencing application Microsoft Teams. The use of a virtual setting for training in medicine and dentistry is not new and, as in the case of our recent move to a virtual medium, it may be that COVID-19 has fast-tracked this digital transformation. There are of course disadvantages to online teaching that traditional face-to-face teaching overcomes. We conducted a survey to examine how trainees' attitudes and experiences have altered with this change, and to understand whether some elements of this new style of training may be advantageous in the post-pandemic world. We aimed to assess trainees’ attitudes towards online teaching, and which elements, if any, would be beneficial once face-to-face teaching becomes possible again. A survey was created for all trainees taking part in journal club meetings at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. Multiple-choice and Likert scale questions were designed to ascertain the differences in experience between online and face-to-face settings. A Wilcoxon matched pairs signed test was used to analyse the results. Responses were kept anonymous. Results showed that the majority of trainees found it easier to attend the online journal club, and also indicated that the most found Microsoft Teams easy to use, though we did not have another online application for comparison. There was no significant difference in participation comfort between the two settings, though trainees felt that the online setting considerably improved learning effectiveness. Furthermore, 79% (11/14) thought that online tutorials and meetings should replace traditional face-to-face meetings in the future. The use of internet technology such as video conferencing is not new, and although journal clubs are typically held in academic institutions, online and virtual clubs are flourishing. With an array of advantages, there is no shying away from the trend to move our teaching to a virtual medium. COVID-19 may have just provided the stimulus that has forced this transformation to accelerate.  相似文献

Setting and objectiveIn Italy, over the last decades, elderly care has been mostly provided by family members, especially adult offspring, and in particular daughters. This paper investigates the relationship between informal caregiving and mental distress among Italians aged 35–59, with a focus on gender effect and parenthood responsibilities.DataThe dataset is the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS), second wave, year 2015. As far as it is known, the Italian EHIS has not been used for studies on ageing and caregiving.MethodsUsing selected subsamples, a Propensity Score Matching between caregivers and non-caregivers aged 35–59 is implemented, with the aim of measuring the difference in level of depression, if any, between the two groups.ResultsFindings show that women providing their frail relatives with informal care are less likely to suffer from mental distress compared to non-carers. However, results change radically if they have children aged less than 15 at home, and a higher probability of being depressed is detected for women overwhelmed by the double responsibility of assisting both dependent relatives and their own children. 目的 本研究对疫情期间通过网络教学实施的新型冠状病毒相关内容培训进行效果评价,并对网 络教学实践过程进行总结分析,为脑血管病住院医师规范化培训网络教学的开展及教学质量提高 提供参考。 方法 组织2017-2019级脑血管病住院医师进行新型冠状病毒相关内容网络教学培训,培训内容 包括操作规范、病毒知识与防控要点、诊断与治疗、诊疗流程等。采用自身对照研究的方法,通过对 比住院医师培训前后两次考核成绩对实施的网络教学进行效果评价。 结果 共189名脑血管病住院医师参加培训及考核。根据培训前后考试成绩的差异性分析结果,培 训后辅助检查、院感、诊断与治疗、防控、诊疗流程五项内容分数及总分均高于培训前(均P<0.001)。 根据广义方程模型分析结果,校正学历和规培年限等因素后,培训后考试总分较培训前高9.14分 (95%CI 7.22~11.06,P<0.001)。 结论 脑血管病住院医师网络教学培训效果较好,教学管理者需要充分发挥网络教学的优势,规 避劣势,将网络教学纳入脑血管病住院医师常态化教学活动。  相似文献
