Objective: Green tea (GT) contains polyphenolic flavonoids, different minerals like magnesium, calcium, and zinc, vitamins, amino acids, carbohydrates, proteins, and others. It has a different health benefit. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of intragastric gavage of a high dose GT extract on serum biochemical analysis of magnesium, calcium, and zincin juvenile Wistar albino rats. Methods: Twelve rats were used in the study and divided in to two equal groups. All the animals in the control group were intragastically gavaged by distilled water and continues for ten days, from day 24 to day 34 of age, while the animals in the study group were intragastically gavaged by GT extract (300mg/kg/day) which continues also for ten days from day 24 to day 34 of age. On day 34 of age, and two hours after the last dose, the rats were anaesthetized and blood collection by cardiac puncture was taken. Results: The results showed that the intragastric gavage of a high dose of GT extract caused a non-significant increase in serum magnesium, and calcium levels (p>0.05), but a significant increase in zinc serum level was seen(p< 0.05). Conclusion: GT can cause a significant increase in zinc serum level, and this may explain the significant role of GT in the response to different oxidative stress. It is recommended to measure the Zn serum level in rats after a period longer than two hrs from the time of the last dose of intragastric gavage of GT extract.  相似文献

ObjectivesComposite restorations with calcium fluoride nanoparticles (nCaF2) can remineralize tooth structure through F and Ca ion release. However, the persistence of ion release is limited. The objectives for this study were to achieve long-term remineralization by developing a rechargeable nCaF2 nanocomposite and investigating the F and Ca recharge and re-release capabilities.MethodsThree nCaF2 nanocomposites were formulated: (1) BT-nCaF2:Bisphenol A glycidyl dimethacrylate (BisGMA) and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA); (2) PE-nCaF2:Pyromellitic glycerol dimethacrylate (PMGDM) and ethoxylated bisphenol A dimethacrylate (EBPADMA); (3) BTM-nCaF2:BisGMA, TEGDMA, and Bis[2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl] phosphate (Bis-MEP). All formulations contained 15% nCaF2 and 55% glass particles. Initial flexural strength and elastic modulus, F and Ca ion release, recharge and re-release were tested and compared to three commercial fluoride-containing materials.ResultsBT and BTM nCaF2 composites were 3–4 times stronger and had elastic modulus 2 times that of resin-modified glass ionomer controls. PE-nCaF2 had comparable strength to RMGIs. All nCaF2 composites had significant F and Ca ion release and ion rechargeability. In F and Ca recharging cycles, PE-nCaF2 had the highest ion recharging capability among nCaF2 groups, followed by BT-nCaF2 and BTM-nCaF2 (p < 0.05). For all recharge cycles, ion release maintained similar levels, demonstrating long-term ion release was possible. Furthermore, after the final recharge cycle, nCaF2 nanocomposites provided continuous ion release for 42 days without further recharge.SignificanceNovel nCaF2 rechargeable nanocomposites exhibited significant F and Ca ion release over multiple recharge cycles, demonstrating continuous long-term ion release. These nanocomposites are promising restorations with lasting remineralization potential.  相似文献

BackgroundBailing Capsule (BLC), Jinshuibao (JSB), Huangkui Capsule (HKC), Uremic Clearance Granule (UCG), Tripterygium glycosides (TG), Compound Xueshuantong Capsule (CXC), and Shenyan Kangfu Tablet (SYKFT) as classic Chinese patent medicines (CPMs), have been widely used and shown beneficial effects on the treatment of early diabetic kidney disease (DKD). However, the comparative efficacy of seven CPMs in the treatment of early DKD remains unknown.ObjectiveTo evaluate and compare the efficacy of seven CPMs (BLC, JSB, HKC, UCG, TG, CXC, SYKFT) combined with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) or angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) on early DKD by a Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) of randomized controlled trials (RCTs).MethodsA comprehensive and systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Clinical Trials.gov, China Biology Medicine, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Scientific Journal, and Wanfang databases from inception to March 14, 2021, for full-text RCTs that evaluated the efficacy of seven CPMs combined with ACEI/ARB on patients with early DKD. Two reviewers independently screened studies for eligibility, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias. Agreement between reviewers was measured using kappa statistics. Mean difference (MD) and odds ratio (OR) were calculated to evaluate continuous variables and dichotomous, respectively. The random effect modeling NMA was performed and the ranking probability of interventions in various outcomes was also conducted based on the surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA). Begg’s and Egger’s tests were used to evaluate publication bias. The certainty of the evidence for outcomes was evaluated according to the GRADE system.ResultsA total of 62 RCTs with 5362 patients with early DKD were identified. The value of Kappa calculated for the various parameters extracted by the two investigators was 0.821 (P < 0.001). Among these CPMs, UCG + ACEI/ARB showed the best effectiveness for urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) (MD 32.25, 95% CrI 19.11–45.67, low certainty) with SUCRA 92%. JSB + ACEI/ARB showed the highest effectiveness for 24-h urinary total protein (24-h UTP) (MD 76.92, 95% CrI 53.54–100.58, low certainty) with SUCRA 97%. CXC + ACEI/ARB showed the highest effectiveness for serum creatinine (SCr) (MD 26.02, 95% CrI 6.10–45.95, low certainty) with SUCRA 96%. HKC + ACEI/ARB showed the highest effectiveness for blood urea nitrogen (BUN) (MD 1.46, 95% CrI 0.42–2.54, very low certainty) with SUCRA 86%. BLC + ACEI/ARB showed significant differences in triglyceride (TRIG) (MD − 1.17, 95% CrI − 1.93 to − 0.43, low certainty) with SUCRA 90%, total cholesterol (TC) (MD − 1.17, 95% CrI − 1.97 to − 0.39, very low certainty) with SUCRA 90%, and C-reaction protein (CRP) (MD − 0.90, 95% CrI − 1.51 to − 0.32, very low certainty) with SUCRA 76%.ConclusionsCPMs + ACEI/ARB might be positive efficacious interventions from which patients with DKD will derive benefit. UCG + ACEI/ARB, JSB + ACEI/ARB, CXC + ACEI/ARB, and HKC + ACEI/ARB might be potentially the preferred intervention for reducing UAER, 24-h UTP, SCr, and BUN levels, respectively. BLC + ACEI/ARB has a better impact on lowing TRIG, TC, and CRP levels in patients with early DKD. However, more high-quality, large-scale, multi-center RCTs and stronger head-to-head trials are required to confirm these findings.  相似文献

目的探讨柚皮苷(naringin, NA)通过激活大电导钙激活钾离子通道(the large conductance Ca;activated K;channels, Maxi K)对糖尿病心肌病的保护作用。方法高脂饲料喂养SD大鼠,随后腹腔注射链脲佐菌素(streptozotocin, STZ)建立糖尿病大鼠模型。造模后随机分为模型组(DCM),柚皮苷治疗组(NA),柚皮苷+Maxi K特异性抑制剂治疗组(NA+PAX),每组8只大鼠。治疗组大鼠连续给药12周,定期检测血糖。结束后观察大鼠心功能、形态及纤维化改变;并检测心脏Maxi K的α及β亚基变化。结果超声显示NA可部分恢复大鼠心功能,而特异性阻断Maxi K后,NA对心脏的保护作用明显下降;纤维化分析显示NA治疗后可降低大鼠胶原蛋白及纤连蛋白表达,该作用可被PAX部分逆转;而Western blot结果显示Maxi Kα及β亚基在DCM组表达下降,NA治疗后无明显改变。结论柚皮苷通过促进细胞膜表面Maxi K通道开放而非增加其表达产生对糖尿病大鼠的心脏保护作用。  相似文献

Acute pancreatitis is characterized by necrosis of its parenchymal cells and influx and activation of inflammatory cells that further promote injury and necrosis. This review is intended to discuss the central role of disorders of calcium metabolism and mitochondrial dysfunction in the mechanism of pancreatitis development. The disorders are placed in context of calcium and mitochondria in physiologic function of the pancreas. Moreover, we discuss potential therapeutics for preventing pathologic calcium signals that injure mitochondria and interventions that promote the removal of injured mitochondria and regenerate new and heathy populations of mitochondria.  相似文献

BackgroundCalcium chloride is commonly used in emergency departments in the treatment of a variety of emergencies. Historically, administration via central venous catheters has been preferred owing to its high osmolarity and vesicant properties. Although preferred, central access may not always be available in time-sensitive, emergent situations leading to many instances of peripheral administration. The objective of this analysis was to evaluate the charted safety of peripheral venous administration of 10% calcium chloride.MethodsA single-center retrospective chart review was performed in patients who received 10% calcium chloride in the adult emergency department evaluating for the incidence of infusion-related adverse events. Patients were excluded if they were less than 18 years of age or had a lack of catheter documentation during 10% calcium chloride administration or if the 10% calcium chloride was documented as given through a central venous catheter.ResultsA total of 72 administrations were evaluated. Patients were predominantly male (67%), with a median age of 55 years and body mass index of 29.2. The primary outcome demonstrated that 4 infusion-related adverse events occurred (6%) with grade 1 (n = 1) and grade 0 (n = 3) documented incidence of infusion-related adverse events. None of the documented incidence of infusion-related adverse events resulted in permanent tissue injury, and all patients had conservative management.DiscussionThis study demonstrated that administration of 10% calcium chloride via peripheral venous catheters may be feasible and seemed to carry a low incidence of documented complications. Further prospective studies are needed to confirm study observations.  相似文献

ObjectiveCalcium-activated chloride channel 2 (CLCA2) is closely related to the invasion, metastasis, and prognosis of some common malignant tumors. The present study aimed to evaluate the role of CLCA2 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CESC) using bioinformatics analysis.Materials and methodsThe mRNA sequencing data and the corresponding clinical data were obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database respectively. Then univariate analysis of variance was used to analyze the differential mRNA expression of CLCA2 between normal, cervical Intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), and CESC tissues and clinicopathological characteristics. The Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) was used to assess the association between CLCA2 and Disease-Free Survival (DFS), overall survival (OS). The Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) was used to explore the associated signaling pathways. The Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER) was used to predict the potential biological roles of CLCA2 in tumor-immune of CESC.ResultsCLCA2 expression was significantly decreased in CESC tissues compared with normal and CIN tissues (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, obese patients had lower levels of CLCA2 expression than normal-weight CESC patients (P < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the expression level of CLCA2 in patients with different T stage, lymph node status, metastasis, and FIGO stage in CC(P > 0.05). The survival analysis indicated that for DFS, CESC with high CLCA2 expression was associated with better prognoses compared with those with low expression levels (P < 0.05). But for the OS, there was no difference. GSEA revealed that 4 pathways exhibited significant differential enrichment in the CLCA2 high-expression phenotype, including the P53 signaling pathway, the ERBB signaling pathway, the NOTCH signaling pathway, and the ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis. The TIMER reveals the expression of CLCA2 showed a significant inverse association with the number of B cells, Macrophage cells, and Dendritic Cell infiltration.ConclusionThe present study indicates that CLCA2 expression may be a potential prognostic marker for patients with CESC.  相似文献

目的通过观察小鼠胃Cajal间质细胞(interstitial cells of Cajal,ICC)表型变化及相关蛋白,讨论半夏泻心汤调节胃肠运动的细胞分子机制。方法制备半夏泻心汤药物血清,以去离子水灌胃所得血清为对照。取对数生长期的ICC,随机分为空白组、对照组、低浓度组(5%半夏泻心汤药物血清)、中浓度组(10%半夏泻心汤药物血清)和高浓度组(20%半夏泻心汤药物血清),分别给予相应药液,于12小时、24小时和48小时后进行指标检测。采用免疫荧光双染法检测ICC标记蛋白c-kit/α-SMA、c-kit/desmin和c-kit/SMMHC表达,镜下观察半夏泻心汤对小鼠ICC表型维持的影响;采用免疫印迹和实时荧光定量PCR法检测ICC中钙离子通道蛋白三磷酸肌醇受体(inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptors,IP3R)、兰尼碱受体(ryanodine receptor,RyR)、磷脂酶C(phospholipases C,PLC)及其mRNA的表达。结果与低浓度和中浓度组相比,高浓度组c-kit阳性表达显著增加(P<0.05),α-SMA阳性表达明显减少(P<0.01),SMMHC表达和desmin表达差异不显著(P>0.05)。与药物干预24小时、48小时组相比,12小时组c-kit阳性表达显著增加(P<0.05);与48小时组相比,12小时组α-SMA阳性表达明显降低(P<0.05);与24小时相比,12小时组α-SMA、desmin和SMMHC平均灰度值无明显差异(P>0.05)。与空白组、对照组比,药物组IP3R、RyR、PLC蛋白及mRNA表达均明显升高(P<0.05)。结论20%半夏泻心汤药物血清干预12小时能显著增强ICC表型的维持,加强c-kit表达,其机制可能与调节钙库受体蛋白IP3R、RyR、PLC表达水平,进而影响相关离子通道蛋白有关。  相似文献
